Lonesome Being

What’d you say to me?
You sweep me off my feet
and you cripple me
with insecurity
and a somewhat eerie peace.
Everything
that you'll ever need
you'll find in me,
so confide in me.
Everything
that you'll ever seek
I'll always be,
your lonesome being.
It's looking that way.
Oh yeah, but I seldom know.
And, saving my face
has stunted my growth
in this changing scene
and this fading season
is freezing me,
giving me a reason
to leave
and to be
your lonesome being.
Now, I'm finally seething
and just now reversing
my torn out feelings.
No, no more rehearsing.
Feeling that way
was never wanted,
but what I wanted
was not respected.
Now my face is broken.
My anger crept in
and made you deaden
how you feel
for me.
Your lonesome being.
What’d you say to me?
You swept me off my feet
and you crippled me
with insecurity
and a somewhat eerie peace.
Everything
that you'll ever need
you'll find in me.
So, come frighten me.
Everything
that you'll ever seek
I'll always be
your lonesome being.
